We are a family of 2 adults, 2 kiddos (4 + 9), and 2 dogs. We recently said goodbye to our wonderful part time nanny and need to find the next person to help us stay sane and organized. We estimate this position will be 40% household help and 60% childcare.
Our ideal candidate:
- Has experience working in a neurodivergent household.
- Is organized, practical, reliable, and proactive.
- Is tech-savvy enough to pick up our task management systems.
- Can trouble-shoot and problem solve confidently.
- Likes dogs.
- Is confident driving in the city for kiddo pick-ups.
- Enjoys cooking kid-friendly food.
Some example responsibilities:
- Pack lunches for school and prepare a kid dinner
- Pick-up from school in the Marina and/or Jordan Park
- Tidy up common areas in the house like the living room and kitchen
- Empty the dishwasher
- Manage kid laundry
- Run loads of household laundry (towels, kitchen rags etc)
- Completes miscellaneous household chores as requested
- Run errands around town (drop packages at the post office, library etc)
- Cook up a batch of pancakes for a freezer stash
- Help cull and organize toys
- Take out the trash
We are offering:
- A flexible schedule over 3 days (Monday and Friday, 10am - 6pm, flexible ½ day )
- ~20 hours
- $35-45/hr based on experience and responsibilities
- A vehicle for your use during work hours
- Opportunities for additional work dog sitting and managing the house while we are traveling
If you like putting a podcast in your earbuds and crushing a pile of dishes then taking a moment to pet some soft and wiggly senior pups, this could be the gig for you. We hope to find someone to help over this school year at minimum.
