This is a retail-focused role where your floral design skills will shine, but it’s not a wedding or event designer position. Role Responsibilities:
- Design and create high-quality floral arrangements for retail sales, understand all retail components of Ampersand’s offerings, and become an income generator for the business.
- Assist walk-in clients, manage phone and email inquiries, and handle invoicing.
- Represent Ampersand during deliveries, installations, and client interactions.
- Contribute to the overall organization of the business, including restocking, flower processing, inventory upkeep, plant maintenance, deliveries, vehicle maintenance, and any other duties that the business needs overall.
- As needed, assist with event production in our warehouse, including prepping, cleaning, and resetting as needed.
- Heavy lifting and standing for long periods are common in this physically demanding role.
- Proficiency in computer systems is essential for managing orders and other business needs.
Position Details:
- Part-time position available, approximately ~2 days a week, with weekend shifts expected, and additional shifts expected during event production weeks. Employees are eligible for tips.
- Flexibility is key as shifts may fluctuate based on business needs, event production schedules, and coverage. Some weeks are expected to have increased hours to assist with business needs.
- Previous flower shop experience is highly preferred, but not required. If you do have previous flower experience, please showcase a visual portfolio.
Requirements:
- A valid driver's license is a bonus, along with comfortability with driving all company vehicles.
- A year-long+ minimum commitment is required.
